Defence production: Romania offers help in arms production

Rana Tanvir Hussain stresses both countries should look into making forum to explore joint collaboration and ventures.

RAWALPINDI: Ambassador of Romania, Emilian Ion called on Federal Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanvir Hussain on Wednesday and stressed that Pakistan and Romania could explore cooperation in field of defence production and venture into joint projects. He said that Romanian defence industry was advanced and developed and had a lot of potential in production of heavy tanks, military trucks, armoured personnel carriers and communication equipment. The ambassador said he wanted to see both the countries excel in area of defence cooperation. Rana Tanvir Hussain stressed that on lines of a business council, Romania and Pakistan should look into possibility of making a forum where matters of joint collaboration and ventures could be explored.
