KARACHI: Commissioner Shoaib Siddiqui has ordered an immediate confiscation of all available stocks of metallic kite strings and a crackdown against manufacturers and sellers.

Expressing his sympathies with the parents and families of the children who lost their lives in the past few months, he said that stringent action must be taken to avoid such incidents in the future. “It is also more painful that the children who lost their lives were not flying the kites themselves but were just unfortunate victims,” he said.
