Family feud: Man axed to death

A man and a woman who allegedly killed their brother were arrested.

ISLAMABAD: A man and a woman who allegedly killed their brother were arrested on Monday. The victim, identified as Naveed Shah, 40, developed differences with his brother, Habib Shah, and sister, Tanvir Fatima, over a piece of land on Monday evening at house in Rehmatabad. Their verbal arguments turned into scuffle and both the siblings attacked Naveed with an axe, leaving him critically injured.   He was taken to District Headquarters Hospital and died in the hospital. The police registered a murder case and started investigations. Meanwhile, Muhammad Sabir lodged a complaint with the same police that two armed motorcyclists snatched his wallet containing Rs3,000 cash, a mobile phone and documents. The police registered a case against the robbers.
