LAHORE:

Writer Muneer Ahmed Qureshi, affectionately called Munnu Bhai, announced on Monday that he will donate his collection of books to the library of the Government College University.

Qureshi announced this during the lecture he was invited to deliver at the GCU on Responsibilities of Media in a Democratic Society. “I will give you my personal collection so that my heart shall always beat in your hands and my eyes shall always remain with your eyes,” he said. Munnu Bhai said the media would mature with the passage of time. He said had already played a tremendously important role in raising awareness about national issues. He rejected the suggestion that it was portraying a negative image of the country. He said the media was just a mirror.
