FAISALABAD:

City Police Officer (CPO) Haider Ashraf said on Saturday that strict action would be taken against delinquent policemen.

Speaking at a khuli kacheri (open court) at the Government High School, Salarwala, he said the police should ensure that public complaints were not overlooked.

The CPO visited the Sahianwala police station and directed the station house officer to improve the condition of barracks and the washroom.

“Delinquency and negligence will not be tolerated,” he said.

The CPO also heard the residents’ complaints. He reviewed the progress of cases against proclaimed offenders involved in murder and robberies.

Ashraf also requested the villagers to cooperate with police in arresting the criminals.

Police officials and dignitaries of the area also attended the open court.

Although Punjab Police is far far better than Sindh Police yet it is important to reform the Punjab Police. We have to wait for the entire term for PPP to leave Pakistan alone so that Sindh Police could also be reformed.
