AJK road accident: Four killed in jeeps’ collision

Six others were injured.

Four people perished and six others injured in a collision between two jeeps near the Azad Kashmir’s capital city on Wednesday.


According to the police, the accident occurred when two jeeps fell into Neelum River after head on collision near Dewlian, 27km from here.


One of the jeep was on way to Muzaffarabad from Balgaran village, when it collided with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction. According to a police official, speeding might have caused the accident that killed Muhammad Sadiq Shah, Aqeel Ahmad and Lal Din and Saghir Hussain Shah, one of the drivers.


The injured, identified as Atif Hussain, Amjad Hussain, Ghulam Hussain, Shafa’at Hussain and Shan Ali were shifted to a basic health unit at Pataykha.


Two of the injured who are stated to be in a critical condition, have been referred to Sheikh Zayed Hospital.
