An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday sent two suspects to jail on judicial remand in connection with the murder of a senior Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) official, who was a member of a team carrying out an anti-encroachment operation in Bilal Colony.


The ATC-II sent the men, Irfan and Shahjehan alias Rizwan, to jail till April 14.


According to the police, Muhammad Ishaq - the KMC land department deputy-director - was leading the anti-encroachment drive when he was shot.
