Traffic woes: Slip roads at 3 intersections approved

Construction work will be completed through CDA’s own resources.

ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Maroof Afzal has approved the construction of slip roads at three major intersections of the city. Slip roads will be added to the intersections of Aabpara Chowk, Ayub Chowk and Bilal Majid Chowk at Ataturk Avenue. “Machinery Pool Organization and the Engineering Wing have been asked to coordinate for early initiation of construction work,” said a statement issued by the CDA. Construction work will be initiated on Monday and completed through CDA’s own resources. The chairman said the agency would take effective measures to cope with traffic jams at busiest intersections and to facilitate commuters.
