Quick job: Rs5.1m robbed in bank heist

Five to six unidentified men barged into the Tipu Sultan branch of the bank.

Unidentified men took away Rs5.1 million on Thursday from a branch of National Savings Bank in Shabbirabad.


According to Bahadurabad SHO Zahid Hussain, five to six unidentified men barged into the Tipu Sultan branch of the bank.

The robbers came in a car and on a motorcycle, held the office staff and security guards hostage at gunpoint, and took away Rs5.1 million cash from the office. They also took away the recordings of the CCTV cameras.

The Bahadurabad police have registered an FIR on the complaint of the office staff.
