He tweeted on Thursday that he had received threats and that he would hold the Punjab government responsible for any attacks especially if they fail to act against the banned outfit.

Bilawal has repeatedly accused the Punjab government of sheltering the LeJ.
The group also reportedly sent threatening letters to the Sindh government, warning them to stop "atrocities" otherwise they would resort to targeting law enforcing agents and government officials.
Earlier on March 21, a Lahore High Court division bench granted bail to Malik Ishaq, leader of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, in two cases where is he accused of delivering provocative speeches.
CM Punjab took notice
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice of reported threats to Bilawal by the LeJ, Express News reported early on Friday.
Shahbaz directed IG Punjab to look into the matter immediately.

One more democratic leader martyred will spell doom for Pakistan in international world. It will only weaken fragile new formed democracy. Judging by comments it's sad people are making fun of it. It's the responsibility of both Punjab government and central government to route these extremist groups that threaten democratic leaders. If a leader of a province is only not safe what message are they sending to people?
This is a reality, that we are living in a multi-ethnic society and state and every political party have a regional and ethnic vote bank. PML-N vote bank is mainly concentrated around the Punjabi speaking while PPP's strength is based upon sindhi speaking vote.So ethnic fault line become clear, time and again , Sindh and Punjab card is played in the electoral politics in order to gain political power in the country. So, we should not close our eyes from rapid growth of militant organisations and unending threat to our country and society. We should not confuse the threats of LEJ with any ethnic card.

A country cant survive on mere religious rhetoric, distorted history and power of gun, but it is nurtured based on justice, rule of law, and respect for centuries old geography, culture, language, history and civilization. If we want to save left over Pakistan from further fragmentation, the only solution is to bring 180 degree change, abolish the umpire of Mullah-ism, promote secular and liberal traditions, give provinces complete autonomy, let every province of this federation deal their affairs in harmony and healthy competition, Federal Govt only control Defense, Foreign, Currency and inter provincial ministry.

Main point is: 1/5th of the tenure has already passed and we have seen nothing but excuses. Is the "good governance" going to do anything about terror centers which Rana Sanaullah already admitted? Or just hide behind "not so good governance", and keep on making excuses for the next 4 years.

I also hold PPP responsible for laying the foundation of Playing God-God in Pakistan. Mr Bhutto brought changes in the constitution that essentially gave the state the right to declare someone as a Muslim and a Non Muslim. The same Muslim-Non Muslim fatwa making factories are now matured and PPP should be proud of this fact. But i will not hold Sindh responsible for the blunders of PPP and Bhutto as I dont want to play ethnic cards at all.
