PESHAWAR: Two Sikh kidnapped from Draban Road, DI Khan in February were released by the kidnappers and they reached their homes in Mohalla Jogan Shah Sunday night.

Talking to The Express Tribune, a Sikh elder said that Sardar Sawander Singh and Sardar Anan Singh had reached their houses safe.

“They were released in Mir Ali by the kidnappers and are hakeem by profession,” he said, adding that both of them were resident of Mohalla Jogan Shah Peshawar and had their shops in DI Khan on Draban Road.

“For some time the members of our community are a constant target which is really unfortunate,” he argued.

There are chances that these two men were released by the kidnappers after the payment of a large sum but the Sikh elder insisted that both of them had been released without any payment in Mir Ali.
