Provincial coordination: NA body seeks performance details

The Chairman National Assembly Standing Committee on Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) has asked for a detailed briefing regarding the performance and working of IPC in its next meeting. The committee met on Friday under the Chairmanship of Abdul Rahim Khan Mandokhail along with committee members and officials of the IPC ministry. The committee was briefed about the performance of the ministry as after the 18th amendment federation and provinces were facing problems due to lack of coordination. The committee also directed the ministry to resolve the problems of its attached departments. The committee also unanimously decided that the detailed briefing about the performance of IPC and its attached departments would be conducted next week. It also directed that the presence of officials concerned should be ensured during the briefing. The committee recommended that 26 new PSDP projects mentioned in the 2013-14 budget would be discussed after which the committee would decide the approval for next budget.
