Strengthening rupee: Industrialists ask for lowering POL prices
ICCI has calls for at least 10% reduction in the prices of petroleum, oil and lubricants.
ISLAMABAD:
Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has called upon the government to pass on the benefit of appreciation of the Pakistani rupee against the dollar by making at least 10% reduction in the prices of petroleum, oil and lubricants (POL). Khalid Chaudhry, ICCI acting president, appreciated the prudent policies of the government due to which the rupee has appreciated from Rs108 about two months back to below Rs99 in the inter-bank market.
