QUETTA: Balochistan Assembly has unanimously adopted a resolution on Thursday demanding the provincial government to approach the centre to ensure the implementation of 70% local job quota in private companies working in Balochistan. Deputy Speaker Abdul Quddus Bizenjo chaired the assembly session that saw legislators from treasury and opposition benches criticising federal government, state-owned enterprises, private and multi-national companies for ignoring locals in recruitment. PML-Q MPA and former caretaker chief minister Saleh Bhootani tabled the resolution. He stated that private companies, banks and factories while obtaining No Objection Certificates (NOC) from government agree to recruit 70% employees from Balochistan. However, hardly any local is employed in dozens of factories and companies operating here for decades.
