Murder in lockup: Suspects granted bail

LAHORE: A two-judge bench of the Supreme Court on Thursday granted bail to two men accused of killing an under trial prisoner in a judicial lockup.  Islampura police had registered a case against Hassan, Ghulam Haider and others for killing Shafqat in 2013.  Their counsel said one Azam had shot dead Shafqat and the police had wrongly implicated his clients in the case. He said Azam was killed in an encounter with the police later. He said his clients had not been present at the crime scene.
