LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Tuesday issued the Mozang SHO a show cause notice and directed actress Meera and her husband to appear in court on March 25. Meera and Captain Naveed stand accused of filming a video clip that has “tarnished Pakistan’s image”. The court had previously sought comments from the Mozang SHO but he had neither submitted the comments nor sent another official in his stead. On Tuesday, the judge issued him a show cause notice and directed him to submit his comments on March 25.

The judge had previously issued notices to the respondents but the process server said that their addresses were not correct. Petitioner Shabbir Muhammad has said that he had watched the clip on January 20. The petitioner requested the court to direct the Mozang SHO to register a case against them, submit a challan in court and get their names put on the Exit Control List.
