Cleese, who was a member of Monty Python, the comedy troupe responsible for the famous sketch show Monty Python’s Flying Circus co-wrote and starred in, the popular British sitcom Fawlty Towers.
The actor has also played roles in movies such as A fish called Wanda, Rate race, James Bond, Harry Potter and Shrek.
Nowadays, the comedian writes for the Guardian for their culture section, while managing his own blog.
Cleese was born in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset in England in 1939.
