Midnight assault: House damaged in rocket attack

CHARSADDA: A house was partially destroyed when unidentified militants fired two rockets on the structure in Umerzai, Charsadda on Sunday. An official of the police said the incident occurred around 1am when two rockets landed on the house of Master Fazal Subhan in Kula Dher which damaged a portion of the boundary wall. Owner of the house reported to the police that he and his family members were sleeping when they were woken up by two loud explosions. He added when he rushed out of the room, he saw the boundary wall had collapsed. Subhan said militants fired two rockets at his house but he could not ascertain the reason behind it as he has no personal rivalry with anyone. A case was filed against unidentified militants and further investigation is under way, said the police official.
