Youth Festival: COMSATS students win speed wiring contest

Sports Board Director General Usman Anwar distributed prizes among the participants.

As many as 1,000 electrical engineering students from across the province competed in the speed wiring competition organised at the Punjab Stadium Gymnasium Hall on Wednesday.


Team Wes Corp from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology won the top position. The CE-A team of the University of Engineering and Technology took the second place.

Jawadullah, coordinator of the programme, told newsmen that the contest had offered a platform to engineering students to showcase their skills and compete with their peers.

He said the students had learned new things and had been encouraged to be creative.

Muhammad Hassan and Mamoon Aftab of the University College Lahore won the final round of the general knowledge quiz at the Gymnasium Hall of the Punjab Stadium. Muhammad Zulfiqar and Muhammad Shoaib from the University of the Punjab were declared runners-up.

Sports Board Director General Usman Anwar, who was the chief guest, distributed prizes among the participants.
