The team was administering polio vaccines to children in a village when unidentified persons on motorcycles targeted them, killing the police men.
The two men were identified as Constable Muhammad Idrees and Constable Muhammad Ilyas.
This is the latest in the continuing attacks on polio teams in the country.
On February 11, unidentified people attacked a polio team in the Parwa tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan, injuring an officer who was providing security to the team.
Militant groups see vaccination campaigns as a cover for espionage, and there are also long-running rumours about polio drops causing infertility.
According to the World Health Organisation, Pakistan recorded 91 cases of polio last year, up from 58 in 2012.
