Multiple raids: Two kidnapping victims recovered

Pahripura police recovers Gulzai for whose release kidnappers had been demanding Rs1.6 million.

PESHAWAR: Officials of Chamkani and Pahripura police recovered two people kidnapped for millions of rupees of ransom and arrested five alleged kidnappers in different incidents on Sunday.

In the first raid, Khalid was recovered from Charbagh, Akbarpura by the Chamkani police who also arrested two alleged kidnappers Shahwali and his son Shahrukh, residents of Pishtakhara residing in Mera Kachuri.

“Khalid’s brother Sajjad belonged to the army and was killed in Waziristan and the kidnappers were probably after the Shuhada Package given to his family by the government,” said a police official.

Similarly, the Pahripura police recovered Gulzai for whose release kidnappers had been demanding Rs1.6 million. Three alleged kidnappers were arrested.
