The 18th Amendment and devolution have had a seemingly substantial impact on the overall cause of women’s rights.

The provincial assemblies appear to be on the right track but laws pertaining to women in the National Assembly need a push.

There are various important laws that are waiting to be passed and many which stakeholders seem to have given up hope on.

Relevant laws may be present to protect women rights but the main problem is its effective implementation by the concerned authorities.

goggi (Lahore) | 10 years ago | Reply "All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights." UN Human Rights Convention The man-made humiliating laws related to women in Pakistan are not to protect her, they are rather to oppress her.
