A team of Islamabad and Peshawar police officials have recovered a man who had been kidnapped from Tarnol. The kidnapped man was recovered during a raid from a house in the Daudzai Police Station area in Peshawar on Wednesday.
The Islamabad police said that the actual kidnappers fled the scene and the police detained three women who were present in the house at the time of the raid.
All the women have been sent behind bars.
The police said that Bilal Mehmood and his servant, Mehmood, had been kidnapped at gunpoint from the Bhidana graveyard area in Tarnol.
According to the police, the kidnappers released the servant near the Swabi Interchange.
They later called Mehmood’s family using his cell phone and demanded a Rs20 million ransom, the police said.
Mehmood’s father, a trader, had lodged a case with the Tarnol police.
