Tortured bodies found in Musakhel
Grisly discovery raises alarm over worsening security

In a chilling incident that underscores the persistent security crisis in Balochistan, the severely tortured and mutilated bodies of three men were recovered from the terror-hit Rara Sham area of Musakhel district.
According to Levies and administrative sources, local residents alerted authorities, prompting an immediate joint operation by Levies, police, and security forces. The area was cordoned off as teams launched a thorough search and evidence collection process.
Initial investigations identified two of the deceased: Fareed son of Anwar Jan, resident of Duki Killi; and Mujeebur Rehman son of Khair Muhammad, resident of Loralai's Killi Zangiwal Kadezai. Both victims were local residents. The bodies showed extreme signs of torture and mutilation, indicating a brutal nature of the crime. The third victim's identity remains unconfirmed, with DNA testing and other forensic methods underway.
The bodies were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Loralai for post-mortem examination, legal formalities, and medical inspection. A joint investigation by police, Levies, and relevant agencies is in progress.
Officials stated that all possible angles, including terrorism, personal enmity, group rivalries, or other motives, are under scrutiny. Authorities have vowed to swiftly bring the perpetrators to justice.
Rara Sham has a troubling history of violence. In August 2024, the same location witnessed a horrific attack where armed terrorists stopped passenger buses and trucks, offloaded passengers, many identified as non-local laborers, and executed 23 individuals after checking identities, before setting vehicles ablaze. That massacre heightened tensions and led to intensified security measures.
Security forces have since maintained high alert in the area, with increased checkpoints and search operations. The district administration has assured affected families of support and justice, but locals continue to voice deep concern over the deteriorating law and order situation.
This latest grim discovery has reignited calls for comprehensive measures to restore peace in the restive region, where such incidents contribute to a cycle of fear and instability.
