Rainy day: Mercury comes down in twin cities

Minimum temperatures in Islamabad were between 6 and 8 degrees Celsius and between 8 and 10° C in Rawalpindi.

Light rain coupled with cold winds brought the temperature down in the twin cities on Monday.


The minimum temperatures recorded by the Pakistan Meteorological Department in Islamabad were between six and eight degrees Celsius and between eight and 10° C in Rawalpindi.


According to the met office, Rawalpindi saw nine millimetres of rain in the Chaklala area and seven mm in Shamsabad, while in Islamabad, Zero Point saw eight mm of rain, Golra four mm, and Saidpur three mm.


No casualties or flooding was reported in the garrison city.
