The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) will observe March 4 as solidarity day with the family of slain journalist Wali Khan Babur, said a press release. Babur was killed on March 4, 2011 in a targeted attack Karachi. An anti-terrorism court recently sentenced his killers to death. PFUJ President Afzal Butt welcomed the verdict, calling it a good omen for the journalists. He said that more than 110 journalists have been killed in Pakistan, but only one of them has gotten justice. “PFUJ demands that all those behind the killings of journalists should be brought to justice,” he said.
