Road accident: Man, sister run over by speeding bus

KASUR:

Three people were killed and two others were injured in two road accidents in Kasur on Saturday. Police said Karamat Ali, his sister Munawar Bibi and son, Riyasat Ali, were travelling on a motorcycle when they were hit by a speeding truck.

Police said Karamat Ali and Munawar died on the spot. Riyasat Ali was taken to tehsil headquarters hospital in Chunian where his condition was later reported to be critical.

Separately, a man was killed and his wife was injured in a road accident in Kasur on Saturday.

Police said Qasim Ali and his wife, Rasheedan Bibi, were travelling on a motorcycle when they were hit by a rashly-driven vehicle. Police said Rasheedan Bibi died on the spot.

Qasim was taken to a hospital where his condition was said to be critical.

Faisalabad. Two people were killed in different road accidents in Faisalabad on Saturday. Police said Dilbar Hussain, a resident of Thikriwala, was crossing Jhang Road when he was hit by a speeding bus. Hussain died on the spot, police said.

Separately, Tatheer Ali and his nine-year-old son Abdullah were on their way to Chenab Garden on Samandri Road when a donkey cart hit them. Police said Ali died on the way to a hospital. Abdullah’s condition was later reported to be critical, police added.
