36 terror suspects held in a month
CTD register 31 cases against suspects

The Punjab Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested 36 suspected terrorists belonging to various banned organisations in different areas in a month.
Two terrorists were arrested from Faisalabad and Jhelum with heavy explosive material and weapons. According to a spokesperson, the CTD conducted 366 intelligence-based operations in different districts of Punjab in which 338 suspects were questioned and 36 arrested along with weapons, explosives and other prohibited material.
The arrested terrorists include Bacha Khan, Mahfouz, Nawal, Sardar Khan, Zaman, Malik Faiz, Nazir, Moazam, Rab Nawaz, Atta, Muslim and Shah.
They belong to Lahore, Sahiwal, Chakwal, Okara, Khanewal, Chiniot, Attock, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang and Jhelum. The spokesperson said the terrorists had planned to target important buildings in different cities.
He added that 31 cases had been registered against the arrested terrorists and investigations were being carried out.
