Maritime security: Navy holds live firepower exercise

In impressive display of naval firepower, combat units of PNF conducts live weapon firing in North Arabian Sea.

ISLAMABAD: In an impressive display of naval firepower, front line combat units of Pakistan Navy Fleet conducted live weapon firing in North Arabian Sea on Wednesday. Chief Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila along with Commander Pakistan Fleet Vice Admiral Khan Hasham Bin Saddique witnessed the firings on board PNS Nasr. The demonstration included firing of anti-surface missiles from fast attack craft and Sea King helicopter. According to Pakistan Navy, Admiral Sandila expressed satisfaction on the combat readiness of PN Fleet and appreciated the display of professionalism by the participating squadrons. The naval chief stated that in the prevalent volatile environment, a credible deterrence at sea is vital not only for maritime security but also for economic security of Pakistan.
