Car trouble: Four men from Punjab go missing
PESHAWAR:
Four people from Kasur, Punjab went missing in the provincial capital after their arrival last week. The police suspects they were called to Peshawar with the intent to abduct them. A police official requesting anonymity told The Express Tribune that Arshad had borrowed Rs1.2 million from Sher Alam and had promised to get him a car from Peshawar. Alam, a government employee, and his friends Ghulam Rasool, Muhammad Ishaq and Ali Ihsan came to Peshawar in a Daewoo bus to meet Arshad and have not been seen since. Police suspects they were kidnapped on their arrival. “We believe they were abducted by Arshad and his accomplices Abbas and Mansoor,” said the official. He added while Arshad has also been missing since, he has been regularly sending text messages to his family in which he claims he was kidnapped by armed men and taken to Khyber Agency. An FIR has been registered in the case and police have started an investigation.
