Four people were killed and one injured in Chato Chowk when unidentified attackers in a car opened fire at them late Saturday night.
The injured victim, Muhammad Ali, told the police he was coming back from an Urs with some other people when at around 1:10am men travelling in a white car approached them and opened fire, killing three of his friends on the spot, injuring him and another, who succumbed later. The accused managed to flee after the incident.
Hoti police SHO Muhammad Inam Jan said the three men killed on the spot were identified as Jan Ali, resident of Rustam and Ali and Anwar Khan, residents of Darabu Kallay. Ziarat Gul succumbed on the way to the hospital. Jan said they handed over the bodies of the deceased to their families after an autopsy was conducted.
Police registered a case against the unidentified attackers.
