SHANGLA:
The family of a 23-year-old woman kidnapped six months ago from Shimla, Battagram claimed the police is not taking the issue seriously and has appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take a suo motu notice to help recover their daughter. Babu Khan, father of Gul Shafida, told journalists at Battagram Press Club his daughter was allegedly kidnapped from his house by Jandad, Guldad, Zardad, Qasim and Gul Said, residents of Donga. Khan said he registered a case against the accused at Shimlai station but the police are yet to make any progress on the case. He alleged they have taken bribes from the accused and had threatened his family to remain silence. The father added the SHO had told him his daughter was in police custody but he had not produced her in court. Khan mentioned they recently received information about Shafida’s whereabouts and informed the police but they avoided raiding the place.
