The Beaconhouse School System organised a ‘Learning Festival’ for its students, their parents and the entire community across 39 of its branches in Karachi, Hyderabad, Quetta, Sukkur and three cities in south Punjab on February 16.

The parents participated in a wide range of interactive activities and got a chance to engage with their children. The festival included live music, sing-along sessions, puppet shows and food courts.

Apart from these activities, the festival also included presentations and workshops by experts on ‘Parenting in Early Years’ and ‘Parenting day-to-day’, first aid and safety and health and nutrition. Parents were interested to learn about healthy food options for their children and prepared tasty snacks with the ‘Little Chefs’.

Some parents were also seen using technology as a learning tool. They read online stories with their children. Some were seen solving maths, science and general knowledge quizzes together. Some mothers were also given an opportunity to learn how to plan their household budget. Sessions on yoga and aerobics were also held.

The family learning and fun day ended by late afternoon with parents appreciating the school management for organising the event.
