ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Agency (CDA) and the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration demolished nine illegal bus stands in different areas in a joint operation on Wednesday. The move came after a February 14 Islamabad High Court (IHC) order directed the CDA and ICT to demolish illegal bus stands in the city. Islamabad Transport Authority Secretary Lubna Dayal said that the demolished bus stands included those belonging to Faisal Travel, Blue Line Travel, Raja Travel, Makah Travel, Al- Bilal Travel, Usman Travel, and Afridi Travel. Dayal said the operation will continue and a report will then be submitted to the court. The official said that 15 bus terminals were operating in the capital, 11 of which were illegal. She added that most of them were located on IJP Road.
