ISLAMABAD:

High achievers of the previous academic year were given trophies and certificates at an annual prize distribution ceremony at the Beaconhouse Margalla campus on Wednesday.

Boys Branch Headmistress Naila Sohail shared the students’ achievements and displayed photos on a slideshow that gave an insight into the extracurricular activities the students participated in.

“We have recorded a reduction in the number of C grades,” she told parents and students.

Beaconhouse School System North Executive Director Nasir Kasuri presented prizes to the students.

Students also performed an English tableau on the song “Tell me why”, while an English play, “The Changeling”, was also staged by the students.

Huzefa Sayed, an 11th grader, said that while students worked very hard to get good grades, at the same time, they were also participating and excelling in extracurricular activities.

“I wake up every morning with the motto to work hard. It is not easy to win positions, especially in a competitive environment where
everyone is doing their best,” he said.

Greeted with pats on their backs and hugs from parents, the event ended on a happy note.
