After winning the toss, Wolves decided to bat first. Led by national team captain Misbahul Haq, Wolves set the target of 131 for Lions to win.
Left handed opener Ali Waqas was the top scorer from Wolves, he made 63 runs off 52 balls with the help of five fours and four sixes. Only other notable contribution came from skipper Misbahul Haq, he made 27 runs off 33 balls.
Left arm pacer Wahab Riaz was the pick of the bowlers from Lions, he took two wickets for just 11 runs in his four overs. Aizaz Cheema and Mohammad hafeez also took two wickets each.
Lions chasing a target of 131 runs never looked comfortable as they kept loosing wickets regularly. Saad Nasim was announced man of the match for his unbeaten 43 runs off 43 balls.
Asad Ali was the pick of the bowler from Wolves, he took three wickets for 32 runs.
