Wrongly accused: Blasphemy accused seeks bail

Female accused allegedly claimed to be a prophet.

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge fixed February 25 to hear a petition for after-arrest bail by a woman accused of allegedly claiming to be a prophet. The petitioner Salma Tanveer said she had been implicated in a fabricated case.  Qari Iftikhar Ahmed had registered an FIR against Tanveer, the principal of Umar School System. He said Tanveer had distributed material having derogatory language against Prophet Muhammd (pbuh) amongst residents of Nishtar colony. He also said she had claimed that she was a prophet.
