Red Bull team principal Christian Horner is confident his team has enough time to recover from its nightmare start to pre-season testing, according to ESPN.

The new RB10 completed just 21 laps in its first four days on track at Jerez, the least of any of the teams that made it to the opening test. Horner says next week’s test in Bahrain will be important, but stressed that glitches are inevitable during the pre-season.

“There’s quite a bit to do, but there’s still a fair bit of time before the first race,” he said. “The Bahrain test next week is an important test and obviously everybody is working hard.

“We don’t want another week like Jerez, but that’s what testing is for – you sort your problems out so as not to have them at the races. There are a few things that we need to tidy up on our side but nothing major.”
