Kohistan video saga: Convicts move PHC against sentence

Offenders claim that they were not involved in that case and were sentenced on wrong grounds.

ABBOTTABAD: The convicted persons in the Kohistan video case filed a petition on Friday against the verdict of the District and Sessions Court Kohistan in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) Abbottabad bench. The offenders Mukhtasar Khan, Awal Khan, Shamsuddin Taus, MaulanaYadwal and Jantar Khan in their petition claimed that they were not involved in that case and sentenced on wrong grounds. Justice Saith Waqar and Justice Irshad Qaisar will hear the case. On January 30, District and Sessions Court Kohistan sentenced one suspect to death and four more to life imprisonment for killing the brothers of boys present in the controversial dance video made in Kohistan.
