Child Protection Bureau: 9 child beggars sent into protection
Police say most of these children were orphans and others say they did not know way to their homes.
GUJRANWALA:
Additional District and Sessions Judge Rao Abdul Jabbar Khan on Friday sent nine children to the Child Protection Bureau (CPB). The children had been arrested from GT Road, Sialkoti Gate, Sheranwala Bagh, and Bakhtaywala Mohallah during a police-CPB joint crackdown against child beggars over the last few days. The judge also ordered the police to present the children before the court in February 17 again. Police said most of these children were orphans and others said they did not know the way to their homes.
