Reports of a bomb being planted outside the Water Board Office, which the Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon was to visit, were found to be untrue.
A bomb disposal squad visiting the site confirmed that there was no bomb planted in the Bahadurabad area of Shara-e-Faisal.
The police officials, meanwhile, cordoned off the area. The BDS spent two hours searching the office premises. According to monitoring desk all the buildings, parking area and the vehicles were searched thoroughly. Memon was to visit the office accompanied by MD water board as part of his drive against illegal hydrants.
Sharjeel said such cowardly acts cannot discourage him and he will continue his campaign against hydrants established without proper legal justification.

While the action against the hydrants is appreciated, it is not needed. If the government is sincere to the public, then it just needs to ensure water supply through pipe lines. If the supply by the government is there, no one will have the need/reason to purchase filthy water from tanker mafia. People of Clifton and Defence areas have been demanding water supply since ages but to no avail. Instead, they are asked to pay water bill arrears although there is no water supply to begin with. I suggest that the honorable minister put his own house in order to solve this problem.
