LAHORE:

“The Kashmir dispute has been isolated under an international conspiracy...we must create awareness about the matter,” Punjab University Vice Chancellor Mujahid Kamran said on Tuesday.

He was addressing a rally to express solidarity with Kashmiris at the New Campus on Tuesday. PU Academic Staff Association president Ehsan Sharif, Prof Mansoor Sarwar, Chaudhry Akram, faculty members and several students also participated.

The vice chancellor said that Pakistan must play a pivotal role in foiling the nefarious agenda of imperial powers. He said that Kashmiris were being killed and ruthlessly tortured by Indian forces...every Pakistani must express solidarity with them.

The PU Pakistan Study Centre organised a round table talk on the Kashmir issue. Faculty of Arts Dean Prof Mussarat Abid delivered a lecture in it. The PU Department of History also organised a seminar in this regard. Department of History Chairman Prof Iqbal Chawla and Dr Asghar Iqbal delivered lectures at the seminar.
