LAHORE:

The promotion cases of 75 doctors of the general cadre, seeking promotion to the rank of senior registrar and consultants, have been proposed to be deferred apparently due to allegations of incomplete Annual Confidential Reports submitted to the pre-departmental selection committee.

General Cadre Doctors Association president Dr Masood Akhtar Sheikh on Sunday said, the doctors’ promotion cases were being deferred despite the fact that dozens of them had submitted their Annual Confidential Reports at pre-departmental selection committee meetings held in the office of the Directorate General Health Services Punjab from December 23, 2013, to January 6.
