Mujahid scores winner for PAF

Solitary goal helps team down Afghan FC in PPFL.

KARACHI: Mohammad Mujahid’s solitary strike sealed an important 1-0 victory for PAF in their Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) match against Afghan FC at the Faisal Town Football Ground in Lahore.

The first-half was a dull affair as both goalkeepers were hardly called into action; both teams failed to break the deadlock.

However, both sides upped the ante in the second session as they sought for an opening goal and it was PAF who drew blood.

Mujahid slotted the ball home in the 64th minute; the goal was the only notable progress for the remainder of the game.

No cautions or bookings were given by the referee and the match ended clean in favour of PAF.

In today’s fixtures, ZTBL will face defending champions KRL while Army will play against KPT.
