Car bomb: Tribesman killed in Orakzai Agency

HANGU: A tribesman was killed when a bomb planted inside his vehicle detonated in Anjani area of Lower Orakzai Agency on Wednesday evening. An official of the political administration from Kalaya, Lower Orakzai said the incident occurred at around 6pm when Haji Muhammad, a tribesman from the Stori Khel tribe in Anjani, went to Hangu in the morning to buy household items from Hangu Bazaar. He was later on his way back when a bomb planted by unidentified militants inside his car detonated. He was killed on the spot and the vehicle was completely destroyed. The official added the tribesman was not an elder or a prominent figure and had never been threatened by militants. A case was filed against unidentified assailants and further investigation is under way.
