Threat averted: Three bombs defused

HANGU: Three high-intensity improvised explosives devices (IEDs) were defused by the bomb disposal squad (BDS) in Shaho Khel area of Hangu on Wednesday. City police official Azmat Ali Bangash said a low intensity explosion occurred near Hazrat Ali Masjid in the evening, after which police along with BDS officials rushed to the site and launched a search operation. During the search, the BDS unit spotted three more IEDs planted by unknown militants at a roadside and defused them, he added.
