LoC standoff: AJK govt accepts TATA DG’s resignation

Muhammad Ismail resigned on October 2013 but he will continue to work till the new director-general is appointed.

MUZAFFARABAD: The government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir accepted the resignation of Director-General Travel and Trade Authority (Tata) Brigadier (retd) Muhammad Ismail on Tuesday. Muhammad Ismail resigned on October 2013, however, he will continue  to work till the new director-general is appointed. Brigadier (retd) Ismail snubbed media reports of resigning due to a standoff over the arrest of an Azad Jammu and Kashmir driver, accused of smuggling drugs, held by the authorities in Indian-occupied Kashmir.
