FAISALABAD: The body of a one-and-a-half-year-old boy was found from a sugarcane field in Chak 31-GB in Sitiana police precincts. Witnesses told police that they had seen a couple on a motorcycle abandon the body there. Police were informed and the body was sent for a post-mortem examination. Dr Naseer Chaudhry at the tehsil headquarters hospital said the post-mortem examination report suggested that the boy had been strangled. Station House Officer Riaz Athowal said a special team had been constituted to trace the family of the child as well as the suspects.
