Raising standards: UoP ranked 7th in latest HEC rankings

Senate stresses the need to cover financial deficiencies in concurrence with the highest standards of management.

PESHAWAR: University of Peshawar has been ranked 7th in the latest national-level rankings issued by the HEC, according to Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Rasul Jan. The professor was speaking at the senate session of the University of Peshawar held at Governor House, which was presided over by K-P Governor Shaukatullah Khan. “We have plugged every hole in the administrative system of the institution, and it is a testament to our efforts that the university is gaining in rankings,” said Jan. The senate stressed the need to cover financial deficiencies in concurrence with the highest standards of administrative management. The governor also spoke on the occasion, lauding the university’s progress all the while maintaining that interests of students must be safeguarded. After a thorough discussion in the meeting, actual expenditures for the year 2012-13 were approved.
