KESC regain top spot in PPFL

KARACHI: KESC regained the top spot in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) by defeating Lyallpur FC 2-0 on Monday.

Muhammad Rasool scored the opening goal in the 32nd minute of the match while Muhammad Yaqoob sealed the 18th win for KESC with a 43rd minute strike.

KESC now have 62 points on the table after 28 matches, on the other hand, Lyallpur FC are facing relegation.

They are placed on the 14th slot with 22 points after 29 matches.

Meanwhile, PAF thrashed Muslim FC 3-1 to register their 14th win in the season.

After a goalless first half, PAF’s Mansoor Khan scored a brace while Muhammad Mujahid added his name to the scorers list as Muslim FC could only reply with Muhammad Tahir’s goal.

PAF remained on fourth place with 50 points, while Muslim FC are perched on the seventh with 44 points.
